Home-made Fancy Dress Competition (Part of Gala Day)

Get stuck in to crafting your fancy dress at home.

What can you use to give you the winning edge for our Gala Day competition?

Join our parade and then meet the judge at the bandstand. Winner will be called out shortly after the parade.

There will be Winner and runners up prizes.

Adults are more than welcome to join too as this competition is open to all ages. (Plus entry is free so you’ve no excuse for not entering!).

When is it?

Sunday 15th July 2018 Kids clubs and families meet at 11:30am at The Pavilion Cafe. The Kids Club Parade starts at 11:45am and leads to the bandstand. Walk down with the parade and show off your home-made wonders.

(based at the bandstand in MacRosty Park)

Where is it?

We recommend getting along to the Pavilion Cafe in MacRosty park at 11:30.

How do I get there?

On foot: Just follow Comrie Road and enter MacRosty Park through the first set of gates. The Pavilion Cafe is the wooden structure down the slope.

Driving: Parking is down the hill in the lower part of the park (Sat nav MacRosty Pk/Taylor Park, PH7 4LJ). The car park is reached via Milnab Street through to Turretbank Road. An overflow car park will be set up adjacent to MacRosty car park as well.

From here you’ll need to head through the park and follow signs to the Pavilion Cafe.

Join our parade from The Pavilion Cafe in costume and then meet the judge at the bandstand. The winner will be called out shortly after the parade.

Who Can Go?

Any age. This is a fun family event that we hope you will enjoy.

How much does it cost?

It’s free to enter. Just make your own costume and turn up on the day.
